Our next working bee is 10:00am Sunday 25th October As we have come to the end of the planting season this Sunday will be a "seek and destroy" day and we will be targeting weeds.   Meet at the Information Board near the big bridge wearing suitable clothes for being around plants and to cope with whatever weather comes up! Sunday November 24 2013. Eight people, including to two Year 8 Community Service students from Carey, weeded in the plantings and along Back Creek.  Sticky weed was the most common, we removed a lot of it. Unfortunately the baby Tawny Frogmouth had recently fallen from its nest in a nearby Eucalypt and died , so we buried it. The creek was flowing and a couple of ducks were swimming in it. We concluded with morning tea at Stuarts. 

On  Sunday 24 June 2012 t hirteen willing workers spread out newspapers and underlay and covered with mulch an area at the rear of the Scout Hall. This prepared area, already sprayed by Adrian, will be ready for "National Tree Day" and planted on the last Sunday in July. A pleasant Sunday sunny morning was enjoyed by all participants and work was completed in a very short time. The rest of the time was used removing weeds at creek banks in the same area. Tea and coffee was served and enjoyed at completion of works. Stuart Paxton
